"Your Grief Massage Cheat Sheet: Tips for Massage Therapists"

About You: You haven't yet trained in Grief Massage and you're not even sure you would ever want to specialize in grief-centered massage therapy.

But you want to be sensitive to the needs of all grieving clients who spontaneously seek you out for massage therapy.

When grief shows up in your treatment room or on your massage table, you don't want to say the "wrong thing" or step out of your massage therapy scope of practice.

You may feel nervous and unprepared to meet grief and loss in a massage setting.

Here's good news: You can gain a basic beginner-level, practical understanding of how to appropriately meet grief and loss as a traditional massage therapist.

Here's more good news: You can gain this entry-level understanding of grief and massage therapy in the same amount of time it takes to:

-watch an episode of your favorite TV show

-cook dinner

-complete a workout

That's right!

In just 30 minutes, you can learn some very important tips about how to handle situations when grief spontaneously shows up in your massage treatment room or on your massage table.

About this mini-class

Over her many years teaching Grief Massage, Aimee Joy Taylor has heard from massage therapists who have not yet trained in Grief Massage (and have little or no experience with grief or loss).

These massage therapists reached out because grieving clients spontaneously sought them out (or because their regular massage clients suffered a sudden loss).

In these cases, the massage therapists recognized their need for some basic information, a "crash course" in what to do (and what not to do) when a grieving client comes to them for massage therapy.

Realizing the importance of all massage therapists being prepared to handle grief when it shows up spontaneously, Aimee created this Grief Massage "Cheat Sheet" course.

This short mini-class is not Grief Massage training and is not a substitute for it.

Please note: If you want to promote yourself as a Grief Massage practitioner and actively seek grieving clients out, you need to take a much more comprehensive Grief Massage training (we offer one!).

This course is geared toward massage therapists who simply wanted to feel prepared to handle grief when it spontaneously shows up (when they haven't actively sought grieving clients out).

This mini-class will cover the basics of:

-why massage can help in grief (why grieving clients may seek out massage therapy)

-which simple basic massage techniques may be well received by grieving clients

-what 3 things to avoid when interacting with a grieving client

- what the massage therapy scope of practice dictates we can/should do if emotional release occurs

-how to know if you need more comprehensive Grief Massage training

-how to find Grief Massage training

This mini-class is 30 minutes long & gives you:

-an intro video from your instructor (founder of the Grief Massage modality and creator of IGM)

-narrated slides (like podcast episodes + beautiful graphic presentation slides)

-downloadable "read only" text versions of each section (like transcripts)

-opportunities to post in a discussion forum on topics discussed

-a list of resources for further learning on the topics discussed

-a bonus coupon code (50% off) for learners who wish to enroll in Class 1 of our 5-part Grief Massage training series (for those who do want to explore specializing in Grief Massage).
